First Aid At Work Level 3

 

This more in depth course is ideal for higher risk environments.  Ideal for the construction industry, Large stores, Factories, Sports Organisations & Venues, Security & Event venues, Schools, Colleges and anyone who wants a more in depth knowledge of First Aid.

This is a Level 3 course.

Accredited via Qualsafe Awards (national awarding body), regulated by OFQUAL.

Your learning will be vast and enjoyable as you will be learning from experienced, knowledgable staff with backgrounds in the Red Cross & St Johns Ambulance. Course

Duration: 18 hours (usually over 3 days/can be done over 2)

  • Minor Workplace Injuries

DAY 2

  • The Respiratory System & Hypoxia
  • Chest Injuries
  • Asthma & Hyperventilation
  • Circulatory System
  • Heart Attack & Angina
  • Stroke
  • Shock
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Burns & Scalds
  • Poisons

DAY 3

  • The Skeletal System
  • Fractures / Dislocations
  • Sprains & Strains
  • Spinal Injuries
  • Head Injuries
  • Eye Injuries
  • Secondary Survey

The course contains theory, demonstration and practical elements and is designed to leave you feeling confident in using First Aid when you leave the venue!!!

The trainer will continually assess you over the 5 practical elements over 3 days, ensuring that you meet the areas required.

Delegates will complete a 2 short multi-choice assessment papers; on passing both papers they will be awarded their QCF Level 3 qualification which will be valid for 3 years.
